Edgewright

This is a quote. I'll fill it in later.
-Human Edgewright

An Edgewright is an artificer who eschews backseat crafting in favor of smashing faces in with tools made by his or her own hands.

BECOMING AN EDGEWRIGHT
Be an Artificer. Craft some weapons. Beat some faces.

 ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
:  Craft Magic Arms and Armor
   :  Attune Magic Weapon
   :  Craft (Weaponsmithing) 9 ranks
:  Must have slain an equal CR creature in solo combat while wielding a weapon personally crafted by you.

Class Skills
The Edgewright's class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are...As Artificer
Skills Points at Each  Level : As Artificer

Hit Dice: d10

Weapon and Armor Proficiencies: An Edgewright is automatically proficient in any weapon that he has personally crafted or infused (until the infusion wears off), but it treated as nonproficient with any other weapon.

Superior Attunement (Ex): Increase the insight bonus gained by the Attune Magic Weapon feat by 1 per 2 Edgewright Levels. This only applies to weapons you have personally crafted.

Infusions: The Edgewright casts infusions as an Artificer of his Edgewright level + His Artificer level, but he may only gain new infusions that specifically target weapons. This ability does not prevent the Edgewright from casting previously learned infusions.

Item Creation (Ex): The path of the Edgewright demands complete dedication. For purposes of meeting item prerequisites and craft reserve, an Edgewright counts as an artificer of his Edgewright Level + His Artificer level. However, this is limited to the creation of Weapons.

Armor Attunement(Ex): All class features that apply to weapons also apply to armor and shields. Attuned armor and shield gains an insight bonus to armor and shield instead of attack and damage. If the armor or shield is also a weapon only one mode may be chosen to receive the bonus.

Battle Infusion (Ex): Your infusions have their cast time reduced to one round (or the original cast time, if lower).

NOTES:
Arz brought this up in the "1001 Homebrew Ideas to Flesh Out Sometime" thread, so I thought I'd throw down PrC for it and start poking around. Right now it LOOKS barebones, but that's because the class abilities scale with Edgewright level.

Better than an Artificer:
Static +Attack/AC equal to class level, Battle Blessing (for infusions!), Free Proficiencies.

Worse than Artificer:
Does not progress crafting for non-weapons/armor.
Does not get access to high level artificer abilities.
Limited Infusion list
Loses metamagic spell completion
Loses skill mastery

Unless I'm missing something, a flat +10 bonus to everything combat related is a bit strong...

It was made to fill a niche in a 1001 thread and the math wasn't balanced out properly, cutting down to 1/2 edgewright levels would be fine, which would give you traditional +5/+5 style enchanting.

Edit: Done

Is it intentional that he can grab random exotics, infuse them, and then go to town?

Yup. It's just replicating Master's Touch
