Phazon Behemoth template
A Phazon behemoth is a creature surging with Phazon energy. Complete corruption by Phazon grants these creatures incredible strength and resilience, but at the cost of their free will. This is usually the end result for creatures corrupted by Phazon.

Creating a Phazon Behemoth
"Phazon behemoth" is an acquired template that can be added to any creature with the Phazon subtype (referred to hereafter as the base creature). If the creature ever loses the Phazon subtype, it also loses the Phazon behemoth template.

Size and Type: The creature’s type remains unchanged. It gains the Cybernetic subtype. It uses all the base creature’s statistics and special abilities except as noted here.

Hit Dice: If the base creature does not have a Constitution score, it gains 2 additional hit points per hit die.

Armor Bonus: A Phazon behemoth's natural armor bonus increases by 3.

Attacks: The damage dealt by a Phazon behemoth's natural attacks increases by one step.

Special Attacks: A Phazon behemoth retains all of the base creature’s special attacks. It also gains the following special attacks:
  • Magic Strike (Su): A Phazon behemoth's natural weapons are treated as magic weapons for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.
  • Phazon Blast (Su): This ability is an energy receptacle. As a standard action, the Phazon behemoth can release a blast of Phazon energy at a target within 60 feet. If the behemoth succeeds on a ranged touch attack, it deals 2d6 points of Phazon damage, plus another 1d6 per point of Phazon energy allocated to this ability. Each point of Phazon energy allocated also increases its range by 15 feet. If the behemoth has any Phazon energy allocated to this ability, any living creature that takes Phazon damage in this way must make a Fortitude save (DC 10 + the amount of energy allocated to this ability + the behemoth's Constitution modifier) or be sickened for 1 round per point of Phazon energy allocated. Normal energy provides no benefit except to the save DC.
  • Phazon Quake (Su): This ability is an energy receptacle. As a standard action, the Phazon behemoth can release a wave of Phazon energy around it, dealing 2d6 points of Phazon damage, plus another 1d6 per point of Phazon energy allocated to this ability, to all other creatures within 30 feet. Affected creatures can make a Reflex save (DC 10 + the amount of energy allocated to this ability + the behemoth's Constitution modifier) to take half damage. Normal energy provides no benefit except to the save DC.
Special Qualities: A Phazon behemoth retains all of the base creature’s special qualities. It also gains the following special qualities:
  • Damage Reduction (Su): A Phazon behemoth has damage reduction 10/magic. The Phazon with which the Phazon behemoths are infused provides a measure of resilience against mundane attacks.
  • Phazon Energy Pool: Each Phazon behemoth has a number of Phazon energy points equal to 2 + 1 per 3 HD.
  • Phazon Mind (Ex): A Phazon behemoth loses the last vestiges of its original mind. It is completely controlled by the Phazon within its body. It has immunity to mind-affecting effects. In addition, it is immune to the nauseated condition.
  • Phazon Recuperation (Su): This ability is an energy receptacle. The Phazon behemoth gains fast healing equal to the amount of Phazon energy allocated. Normal energy provides no benefit.
  • Phazon Speed (Su): This ability is an energy receptacle. The Phazon behemoth gains a +10-foot enhancement bonus to all forms of movement per point of Phazon energy allocated to this ability. It also gains a +2 insight bonus to initiative per point of Phazon energy allocated. Normal energy provides no benefit.
  • Phazon Tolerance: A Phazon behemoth has Phazon tolerance 2, plus 1 per 3 HD. This stacks with the Phazon tolerance granted by the Phazon subtype.
Abilities: A Phazon behemoth's Strength increases by +4, its Dexterity increases by +4, and its Constitution increases by +4. Its Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma stay the same. If the base creature does not have a Constitution score, it gains 2 additional hit points per hit die. See the Hit Dice entry for more details.

Challenge Rating: As base creature +2.

Alignment: Always evil, but can vary along the ethical axis according the base creature.

Advancement: As base creature.

Level Adjustment: -- (cohort +3). Only non-good creatures with the Phazon subtype can attract Phazon behemoths as cohorts.

Phazon ore has largely replaced the stone that this golem was originally made from.
Immunity to Magic (Ex) A stone golem is immune to any spell or spell-like ability that allows spell resistance. In addition, certain spells and effects function differently against the creature, as noted below.
A transmute rock to mud spell slows a stone golem (as the slow spell) for 2d6 rounds, with no saving throw, while transmute mud to rock heals all of its lost hit points.
A stone to flesh spell does not actually change the golem’s structure but negates its damage reduction and immunity to magic for 1 full round.
Magic Strike (Su) A Phazon creature's natural weapons are treated as magic weapons for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.
Phazon Assault (Su) This ability is an energy receptacle. The creature's natural weapons deal an additional 1d6 points of Phazon damage on each attack per point of Phazon energy allocated to this ability. Normal energy provides no benefit.
Phazon Blast (Su) This ability is an energy receptacle. As a standard action, the Phazon behemoth can release a blast of Phazon energy at a target within 60 feet. Phazon Quake (Su) This ability is an energy receptacle. Phazon Creature template
A Phazon creature is a creature mutated by Phazon radiation. Partial Phazon corruption grants these creatures increased strength and resilience and the ability to manipulate Phazon energy. Unlike Phazon behemoths, the level of Phazon corruption is low enough that the creature can maintain its will.

Creating a Phazon Creature
"Phazon creature" is an acquired template that can be added to any creature (referred to hereafter as the base creature).

Size and Type: The creature’s type remains unchanged. It gains the Cybernetic and Phazon subtypes. It uses all the base creature’s statistics and special abilities except as noted here.

Special Attacks: A Phazon creature gains the following special attacks:
  • Magic Strike (Su): A Phazon creature's natural weapons are treated as magic weapons for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.
  • Phazon Assault (Su): This ability is an energy receptacle. The creature's natural weapons deal an additional 1d6 points of Phazon damage on each attack per point of Phazon energy allocated to this ability. Normal energy provides no benefit.
Special Qualities: A Phazon creature retains all of the base creature’s special qualities. It also gains the following special qualities:
  • Damage Reduction (Su): A Phazon creature has damage reduction 5/magic. The Phazon corruption provides a measure of resilience against mundane attacks.
  • Phazon Defense (Su): This ability is an energy receptacle. The creature acid, cold, electricity, fire, and sonic resistance 5 per point of Phazon energy allocated to this ability. Normal energy provides no benefit.
  • Phazon Energy Pool: A Phazon creature has 1 point of Phazon energy point.
  • Phazon Traits: The following are traits of the Phazon subtype.
    • Immune to Phazon radiation of heavy or less. This does not provide protection from other sources of radiation, nor from Phazon radiation equivalent to severe or stronger, including direct contact with heavy Phazon radiation sources and Phazon damage.
    • Phazon creatures have Phazon tolerance, allowing them to allocate Phazon energy without damaging themselves. The amount of Phazon tolerance a creature has depends on its Hit Dice, equal to 1 + 1 per 6 HD.
    • Immune to the sickened condition.
Abilities: A Phazon creature's Strength increases by +2, its Dexterity increases by +2, and its Constitution increases by +2. Its Wisdom decreases by -2.

Challenge Rating: As base creature +1.

Alignment: As base creature.

Advancement: As base creature.

Level Adjustment: +1.

Phazon Husk template
Phazon husks are corpses animated by Phazon energy. They appear similar to zombies, but with light blue veins of Phazon showing through their decaying flesh. Phazon husks are particularly resilient and dangerous thanks to the Phazon energy that animates them. Most husks are created by activators using the Phazon Animation module, but they can sometimes be created out of corpses left in battlefields where lots of Phazon energy had been discharged.

Creating a Phazon Husk
"Phazon husk" is an acquired template that can be added to any corporeal creature (other than an undead) that has a skeletal system (referred to hereafter as the base creature).

Size and Type: The creature’s type changes to undead. It retains any subtypes except alignment subtypes and subtypes that indicate kind. It gains the cybernetic and Phazon subtypes. It does not gain the augmented subtype. It uses all the base creature’s statistics and special abilities except as noted here.

Hit Dice: Drop any Hit Dice from class levels (to a minimum of 1), and raise any hit dice left to d12s.

Speed: If the base creature can fly, its maneuverability rating drops by one category, to a minimum of clumsy.

Armor Bonus: A Phazon husk's natural armor bonus increases based on its size, as follows:

Table: Phazon Husk Natural Armor
Size CategoryNatural Armor Bonus
Tiny or smaller+0
Small+1
Medium+2
Large+3
Huge+4
Gargantuan+7
Colossal+11

Base Attack: A Phazon husk has a base attack bonus equal to 3/4 its Hit Dice. Unlike most undead, Phazon husks have decent combat ability for their toughness.

Attacks: A Phazon husk retains all the natural weapons, manufactured weapon attacks, and weapon proficiencies of the base creature. A Phazon husk without any natural weapons also gains a slam attack. Natural and manufactured weapons deal damage normally. Its slam attack deals 1d6 points of damage for a Medium creature, and appropriately more or less as normal (Fine 1, Diminutive 1d2, Tiny 1d3, Small 1d4, Medium 1d6, Large 1d8, Huge 2d6, Gargantuan 2d8, Colossal 4d6). Use the base creature's slam damage if it's better.

Special Attacks: A Phazon husk retains none of the base creature’s special attacks. It gains the following special attacks:
  • Magic Strike (Su): A Phazon husk's natural weapons are treated as magic weapons for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.
  • Phazon Assault (Su): This ability is an energy receptacle. The Phazon husk's weapon attacks deal an extra 1 point of Phazon damage per point of Phazon energy allocated to this ability, and it gains an equal bonus on attack rolls. Normal energy provides no benefit.
Special Qualities: A Phazon husk loses most special qualities of the base creature. It retains any extraordinary special qualities that improve its melee or ranged attacks. A Phazon husk gains the following special qualities:
  • Damage Reduction (Su): A Phazon husk has damage reduction 5/magic. The Phazon with which the Phazon husks are infused provides a measure of resilience against mundane attacks. Combined with its DR/slashing, a Phazon husk effectively has DR 5/magic and slashing.
  • Damage Reduction (Ex): A Phazon husk has damage reduction 5/slashing. Phazon husks are lumbering masses of flesh. Combined with its DR/magic, a Phazon husk effectively has DR 5/magic and slashing.
  • Phazon Energy Pool: Each Phazon husk has a number of Phazon energy points equal to 1 + 1 per 6 HD.
  • Phazon Resilience (Su): This ability is an energy receptacle. The Phazon husk gains a deflection bonus to AC and a resistance bonus to all saves equal to the amount of Phazon energy allocated. Normal energy provides no benefit.
  • Phazon Traits: Phazon husks have the Phazon subtype, which grants them Phazon tolerance based on their Hit Dice, immunity to heavy or lesser Phazon radiation, and immunity to the sickened condition.
    • Immune to Phazon radiation of heavy or less. This does not provide protection from other sources of radiation, nor from Phazon radiation equivalent to severe or stronger, including direct contact with heavy Phazon radiation sources and Phazon damage.
    • Phazon tolerance equal to 1 + 1 per 6 Hit Dice.
    • Immune to the sickened condition.
  • Undead Traits: Phazon husks are undead, which grants them various benefits, including darkvision with a range of 60 feet and numerous immunities.
    • No Constitution score.
    • Darkvision out to 60 feet.
    • Immunity to all mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, phantasms, patterns, and morale effects).
    • Immunity to poison, sleep effects, paralysis, stunning, disease, and death effects.
    • Not subject to critical hits, nonlethal damage, ability drain, or energy drain. Immune to damage to its physical ability scores (Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution), as well as to fatigue and exhaustion effects.
    • Cannot heal damage on its own if it has no Intelligence score, although it can be healed. Negative energy (such as an inflict spell) can heal undead creatures. The fast healing special quality works regardless of the creature’s Intelligence score.
    • Immunity to any effect that requires a Fortitude save (unless the effect also works on objects or is harmless).
    • Uses its Charisma modifier for Concentration checks.
    • Not at risk of death from massive damage, but when reduced to 0 hit points or less, it is immediately destroyed.
    • Not affected by raise dead and reincarnate spells or abilities. Resurrection and true resurrection can affect undead creatures. These spells turn undead creatures back into the living creatures they were before becoming undead.
    • Proficient with its natural weapons, all simple weapons, and any weapons mentioned in its entry.
    • Proficient with whatever type of armor (light, medium, or heavy) it is described as wearing, as well as all lighter types. Undead not indicated as wearing armor are not proficient with armor. Undead are proficient with shields if they are proficient with any form of armor.
    • Undead do not breathe, eat, or sleep.
Saves: Base save bonuses are Fort +1/3 HD, Ref +1/3 HD, and Will +1/2 HD + 2.

Abilities: A Phazon husk's Strength increases by +4, its Dexterity increases by +2, it has no Constitution score, its Wisdom changes to 10, and its Charisma changes to 1. Its Intelligence stays the same as it was in life.

Skills: A Phazon husk keeps all skill ranks derived from its racial hit dice. If it had no racial hit dice, it gains skill ranks appropriate to its one undead hit die.

Feats: A Phazon husk keeps all feats derived from its racial hit dice and gains Improved Toughness as a bonus feat, even if it does not meet the prerequisites. If it had no racial hit dice, it gains feats appropriate to its one undead hit die.

Environment: Any land and underground.

Organization: Any.
